Guus Kolpa

Data Engineer

Guus joined Quantib in May 2022 as a Data Engineer.

In 2018, he graduated from TU Delft and Erasmus MC with a Bachelor's degree and a Mastaer's degree in Nanobiology. During his Master's degree, he focused on implementing novel bioinformatics tools. Because of this, he discovered he enjoys working in scientific computing much more than doing wet-lab research, since he could actually understand what he was doing.

After graduating, he started working at ICT Group, a large ICT Solutions provider, in a dual role as both a Data Engineer and a Data Scientist, where he worked until he joined Quantib. 

In his free time, he loves drawing, especially pixel art, as it doesn't require him to have a steady hand. If the weather is nice, he enjoys going out with the bicycle for a lovely trip through Rotterdam. Besides that, he can be found playing competitive video games across Europe and often organize events in The Netherlands to that end.
