María García Sanz

Research and Development Engineer

María joined Quantib in January 2019 as a Junior R&D Engineer. Her passion for healthcare and tech made her pursue a bachelor in Physics Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, followed by a master of Biomedical Engineering at the TU Delft. During her master studies, she was able to experience the company life and strengthen her computational skills at Quantib through an internship. She did her final master research at the Biomedical Imaging Group Rotterdam of the Erasmus MC hospital, where she was introduced to the fields of radiomics and deep learning. Afterwards a tough decision had to be made: academics or start-up life? But who could resist the Quantib boardgame evenings!? 

During her free time, María loves spending time with her friends, playing board games, going for long walks, and enjoying amazing dinners at the best restaurants (preferably sushi and ramen!). Additionally, she will never miss the opportunity to go to a good rock concert!
