Tomás Ferreira

R&D Engineer

Tomás joined Quantib in November 2018 as a Junior R&D Engineer. He has a Master's on Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics from the University of Lisbon. During his student years, he did an internship at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences of the University of Oxford where he helped to develop a novel method for prosthetic limbs control using neural signals. Additionally, he interned at the Munich School of BioEngineering of the Technical University of Munich, where he developed a novel software for orthopedic surgery planning. At Quantib, he found a place where he can keep innovating and better people's lives by doing so.

Besides improving his programming skills, his aim is to become a pro on Dutch traditions and he is counting on his colleagues' help for that! When not working, he likes to walk around the city, take pictures and discover new spots - specially restaurants, being that he aspires to try every single one of them out.
