Thinking of joining as a Front-End Engineer ?

At Quantib, we are changing healthcare with artificial intelligence. We improve the accuracy of medical image diagnostics and increase efficiency by getting state-of-the-art machine learning technology into clinical practice. Our software helps radiologists and other medical specialists with diagnosis, disease progression monitoring and therapy planning. We’d love for you to join our team of 28 conquering the medical world with deep learning software.

Your goals and tasks

As Quantib grows, we are in need of a skilled Front-End Engineer. You will be working together with Application Specialists and R&D Engineers to improve the user facing elements of our software: making sure clinicians can get the most out of our AI results with ease. Ensuring fast transfer of medical imaging data to the client side, optimized rendering on the client and implementation of UX elements like editing of segmentations are challenges we need your help with.

An overview of the tasks:

  • Implement client-side medical image viewing and editing capabilities for our FDA-cleared Quantib AI Node platform.
  • Work together with the R&D team and architect to deliver an optimal user-facing experience through a combination of JavaScript, front-end frameworks and modern client-side APIs as appropriate (e.g. Canvas, WebWorkers).
  • Share your knowledge to further improve the wider team’s JavaScript skills.

Your skills & qualifications

  • Extensive experience developing highly performant in-browser JavaScript code.
  • Experience with implementing and deploying front-end design (HTML/CSS, minimization, asset bundling).
  • Experience with a front-end framework (we use Vue.js).
  • The following items would be a plus:
    • Experience with additional browser technology for:
      • execution performance (e.g. WebWorkers, WebAssembly, GPU.js);
      • display performance (e.g. Canvas API, WebGL);
      • network performance (e.g. WebSockets, protocols).
    • Experience developing software in regulated environments (FDA/CE, quality management systems).
    • Ability to design User Interfaces and UX.
    • Experience with UI test automation.
    • Experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Able to transfer knowledge and skills to others effectively.
  • Self-starting: ability to manage own time and priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communications skills.

Some other requirements

  • A BSc or MSc degree in Informatics or relevant degree.
  • A Dutch or EU work permit.

Our offer

  • You will be working in a highly qualified team of 28, a lively mix of R&D engineers, AI specialists, combined with marketing, quality staff and clinicians.
  • You will enjoy using state of the art browser technology to enable our customers to get the most out of our AI software to help their patients.
