Your goal

Have you been intrigued by science since as long as you can remember and do you have a deep passion for innovation and helping improve healthcare with revolutionary solutions? This position might be your dream role. In this position you will have the opportunity to strengthen Quantib’s exposure to our key clinical accounts in the US and Europe in a wide variety of disciplines, from basic science and engineering to translational research and product development and integration. Your work will focus on advanced (clinical) research and innovation, beyond state-of-the-art technologies and practices. The emphasis is on generating evidence for new clinical concepts in co-creation with physicians, gathering clinical and economic evidence. In the clinical innovation process, your role will be key in defining and delivering on the clinical and economic value of our new concepts.

You will collaborate with major academic hospitals across the US and Europe. You will be primarily located on site or you will work from our Netherlands office or home. As part of your role, you will also coordinate customer research activities with the internal Quantib R&D team.

 

Your main tasks

  • Independently perform applied scientific research in collaboration with (potential) clinical and business partners
  • Work closely with the academic and clinical staff of current and future customers to understand their practices, workflow, and key scientific questions
  • Be the main Quantib contact person and expert for clinical project coordination
  • Identify unmet needs in clinical practice, translate them into concrete (research) activities to develop, evaluate and/or validate innovative concepts and solutions, and define their clinical and economic value for the healthcare provider (incl. contributing to health economic analysis and market access evaluation), as well as substantiate the value proposition for Quantib
  • Take the lead on Quantib side in preparing and conducting clinical studies, according to GCP and Quantib SOPs
  • Work with the clinical staff to collect clinical data for the purpose of the research project(s), conduct the data analysis and document/publish the clinical study results (in close collaboration with Quantib R&D Engineers)

Your Team

You will report functionally to the Quantib’s Scientific Lead and your management reporting will be to the CEO. On a daily basis you will interact with Quantib’s Customer Success Director and R&D Engineers. Quantib’s team includes a wide variety of professionals, including radiologists, professors, physicists, AI scientists, and electrical engineers. R&D at Quantib focuses on boosting precision diagnostic accuracy and efficiency, improving workflow and applying beyond state-of-the-art deep learning technologies to the medical imaging space.

 

Your Profile

  • Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in physics, data science, medical science or related fields
  • At least 5 years of experience in (clinical) research, preferably with domain expertise in MRI, oncology and urology; experience in neurology is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of medical image processing and/or machine learning and data-driven analytics
  • Good understanding of research and development processes, possibly in the context of co-creation
  • Hands-on experience in managing relationships with external and multidisciplinary partners and proven affinity with managing innovative people and projects
  • Strong business and customer focus as well as capabilities of building trust-based professional relationships
  • Proven experience in data privacy, clinical affairs, regulatory and compliance requirements in the med-tech context
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, and networking capabilities
  • Excellent team player
  • Some knowledge of value proposition creation, health economic analysis and market access is an asset
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing;
