Are you our new Medical Front-End Engineer ?

At Quantib, we work hard to improve the accuracy and increase the efficiency of medical image diagnostics. We do this by bringing state-of-the-art machine learning technology into clinical practice. Our software helps radiologists and other medical specialists with diagnosis, disease progression monitoring and therapy planning. Currently, we have FDA cleared/CE marked products on the market for quantification and diagnosis of neurodegenerative disease, multiple sclerosis, and prostate cancer.

Your role

  • You will work on software development, both on the client facing (web browser) side of our AI platform as well as on those parts of the platform serving the front-end
  • You will work on real-time visualization of 2D, 3D and 4D medical images in the browser
  • You will become the go-to person to help others solving hard software problems
  • Share your front-end development knowledge to further improve the wider team’s skills in this area
  • You will take care of documentation helping our software get certified for clinical use and keeping it easy to use and maintain

Examples of what you will work on

  • Improve and extend those parts of our AI platform that serve the front-end
  • Improving and extending the browser application which forms the user-facing part of our AI platform
  • Implement client-side image viewing and editing tools

Your profile

  • Passionate about technology and programming in particular
  • Passionate about optimizing the user experience of software

  • Like to dive deep into technology and how it can be optimally applied for the products we make
  • Like to deliver quality in all aspects of your day-to-day work
  • Like to collaborate and share your knowledge to get the whole team and products to a higher level
  • Background in software engineering
  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or a relevant degree in another field combined with strong self-learning skills with respect to IT
  • A valid Dutch or EU work permit

Your skills

  • Experience with Python and Django (or another Python based web framework)
  • Experience with vanilla Javascript
  • Experience with (unit) testing and version control

Other skills that are an advantage

  • Experience with other elements of our technology stack (Vue.js, Webpack, Docker, NGINX)
  • Experience with specific JavaScript related skills (Webworkers, WebAssembly, WebGL)
  • Affiliation with browser-based image, video or data visualization
  • Experience with DICOM and other medical imaging formats
  • Experience with scrum
  • Experience with risk analysis (e.g. failure mode effect analysis)
  • Experience with DevOps
