The role

At Quantib, we are changing healthcare with artificial intelligence, we are making medical image diagnostics more accurate and efficient by deploying state of the art machine learning technology into the clinic. Our software helps radiologists and other medical specialists with diagnosis, disease progression monitoring and therapy planning.   • You will be working in the dynamic and highly qualified team of our recently opened Quantib-U office in Utrecht. In addition to clinicians, most employees there are AI specialists and R&D Engineers.
  • You will be using state of the art machine learning techniques, including deep learning, to extract quantitative information from medical images like CT and MRI.
  • The algorithms you develop should be efficient and robust and need to be validated and integrated in a software product.
  • Together with our quality manager, you will work on the necessary documentation to get the software product you develop certified for clinical use.
  • You will work according to agile methodology.
  • Training will be provided to bring your skills to a next professional level.
  • You will collaborate with international large and small enterprises in product development and European subsidy projects.
  • You will have flexibility in working hours and the possibility to work part-time. After your training period you would be based in the Quantib-U office in Utrecht. 

Requirements

  • An MSc degree or PhD in a relevant discipline (biomedical engineering, informatics, physics, etc.). Relevant work experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams; entrepreneurial drive to perform in a scale-up stage company.
  • Strong coding skills in object-oriented languages such as C++ and scripting languages like Python.
  • Knowledge of medical image analysis and toolkits (e.g. Elastix, ITK).
  • Expertise in machine learning / deep learning and toolkits (e.g. scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
  • Good command of English, both in speech and writing.
