Per 1st of February 2023, Wiro Niessen, Founder and Scientific lead of Quantib, has become the new Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Groningen and will therefore hold a seat in the Executive Board of the UMCG (Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen). As such, Wiro's assignment with Quantib will come to an end.
Although we are sad to see him leave, as he was a fundamental part of the creation of Quantib and the first algorithms, we are thankful for having his support and encouragement during the last 10 years.
“We encountered some hurdles in those first stages, but with his help we always managed to overcome them” - Renske de Boer, one of the founders and Principal R&D Engineer of Quantib.
From Quantib, we want to congratulate him and wish him the best of luck in his new professional adventure.
