Milan Izarin

Junior R&D Engineer

Milan joined Quantib in 2023 as a Junior R&D Engineer and he has joined the team responsible for keeping the Quantib® Brain at the forefront of technology. Milan has always been fascinated by the complexity of the human body and focused his studies on understanding it. He earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from TU Delft with a specialization in Biomechanical Engineering. He combined his interest in technology and in the human body in his Master's thesis at the Biomedical Imaging Group Rotterdam part of Erasmus MC. There, he developed a deep learning algorithm to accelerate MRI scans, which was trained on simulated MRI data.

In his free time, Milan enjoys playing sports such as volleyball, football, snowboarding, and running. He attends concerts of his favourite artists whenever they perform in the Netherlands, and he is trying to put the lifetime of music listening experience into practice by learning to play the piano. Additionally, you can regularly find him in the cinema enjoying an indie movie.
